Westwego Head Start Westwego Head Start provides high quality, comprehensive early childhood education services to families in the Westwego, Bridge City and Avondale areas. The center-based, full-day center is located in Vic A. Pitre Elementary School, 1525 Spruce, Westwego 70094. Westwego Head Start serves eligible children ages 3 -5 year olds. The hours of operation are 8:00am-4:00pm and classes are from 8:15am-3:30pm.
