Early Education Essentials
The Jefferson Early Childhood Collaborative is super excited to collaborate with the Ounce of Prevention Fund to bring the Early Education Essentials Surveys and Improvement Tools to Jefferson Parish. Learn more about this fantastic opportunity during an informational session in October 2020.
Early Education Essentials ™ (EEE) is a NEW measurement system for early childhood education leaders adapted from its K-12 counterpart, the 5 Essentials survey, which includes both evaluation and quality improvement planning tools. Early Education Essentials focuses on organizational climate and conditions to identify meaningful opportunities for improvement and increase child outcomes.
Developed in partnership by the Ounce of Prevention Fund and University of Chicago Consortium on School Research, this breakthrough tool offers leaders the following supports to measure the health of their program: teacher/staff and parent surveys, interactive survey reports, and data-use and improvement tools.
EEE is designed to understand and evaluate the health of early education environments. In the report,
Early Education Essentials: Illustrations of Strong Organizational Practices in Programs Poised for Improvement , Ounce researchers describe strong organizational environments and how they empower leaders, teachers, and families to aspire to and realize higher-quality practices and better outcomes for young children. You can learn more about this research and the valid and reliable Early Education Essentials measurement system on the Ounce’s website .
Early Education Essentials leaders will provide an overview of this unique improvement methodology.
