CLASS Group Coaching is a training series organized around the Know, See, Do model of professional development for teachers. This training series encourages and supports teachers' use of CLASS to explain the impact of specific teacher-child interactions on children's learning, identify effective teacher-child interactions in videos and in their classrooms, and strengthen their teaching practices by integrating more intentional teacher-child interactions. This program will support teachers’ growth no matter their experience level with CLASS. Infant CGC series (must attend all 5 sessions to be eligible for a $ 150 Stipend)
Toddler CGC series (must attend all 8 sessions to be eligible for a $ 240 Stipend)
Pre-K CGC series (must attend all 10 sessions to be eligible for a $ 300 Stipend) Includes weekday and weekend dates
A stipend may be available to teachers in early learning centers upon successful completion of the training series including 100% attendance and participation. Tier III In the top tier, Jefferson will provide job-embedded coaching using two research-based models of coaching, including the Lastinger Model of Practice-Based Coaching and the Teachstone model, myTeaching Partner. Both models are grounded in relationship-based practices that use capacity-building strategies to support leaders and teachers to acquire new professional knowledge and apply this knowledge within instructional practices. MyTeachingPartner (MTP) 1-on-1 Video Coaching In MTP 1-on-1 Video Coaching, MTP CLASS coaching specialists uses video footage as a means for providing practice-based feedback to teachers to support teachers in developing a critical eye for identifying and expanding CLASS interactions with children—building upon what’s working well and boosting the effectiveness of the interactions they provide.
