  • Frog Street Infant and Toddler Curriculum Implementation

    During this training we will exploare the foundations of Frog Street Infant and Toddler Curriculum. You will see evidence of Domain-Based Activities that promote Language, Cognitive, Social Emotional, and Physical Skills.We will explore early brain development research. We will learn how to use Brain Smart Start each day based on Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional program. We will explore the Frog Street Welcome Guidebooks and how to implement the many teacher resources and activities that engage Infant learners (0 – 18 months) throughout the day, as well as Toddler Themed Activity Guide books that are designed to meet the needs of young learners (18 to 36 months of age). We will also explore “learning opportunity planning” (lesson planning) and the importance of observation, documentation, anecdotal recording, and sharing information with parents as teaching partners with tools that are available through the Frog Street Portal.     In this 2 hour session we take a look at room arrangement, materials, equipment and activities that support the observation and documentation learned in TS GOLD. We use the ERS Inventory (ITERS and ECERS) to take an objective look at your own classroom set up. Do you have everything you need to outfit each center to maximize children’s experience and learning. You can set the stage to see the skills and behaviors listed in the 36 Objectives for learning and Development in TS GOLD. Use the activities in Gold and Frog Street Press to create opportunities for children to learn as they play and you document that learning. Learn ways to organize those experiences so you can see multiple skills among multiple childre at the same time, saving time and energy while maintaining accuracy and objectivity.
